Michael Garland is a best-selling children’s author and illustrator. He was born in Manhattan, New York, and began drawing as a very young child. He studied art at Pratt Institute, graduated with a BFA, and hasn’t stopped illustrating since. Michael has illustrated around 70 books, including books by celebrity authors James Patterson and Gloria Estefan, and both written and illustrated 35 of his own children’s books. Michael was one of the first illustrators to utilize digital art, and it remains one of his preferred mediums today.
